About Ingendahl Acres

Our Genetic Lines

Why you should consider Dorsets

What does "polled" mean?

We cross show line ewes to a market line ram, '26 will be our fifth year breeding these fabulous & well mannered Dorsets. All lambs can be registered with the Continental Dorset Club for extra $.

What does "polled" mean?

"Polled" means the horned gene has been bred out. So polled basically means hornless. As cool as horns are, its certainly nice to not get poked by any pointy things when working around the flock.

But, be warned, don't ever let your guard down, rams can still kill you without horns.
